SO 2009 is an exciting new cultural festival in Skegness, organised by East Lindsey District Council (ELDC).
It will take place over two days on 24 and 25 July 2009.
It is part of 'Skegness Organises', a wide-reaching programme of cultural, sporting and community events in the area.
These include the Jolly Fisherman tour, sport on the beach (volleyball, rugby, football etc) with Beach Rangers, National Olympics Day and the Open Up weekend on 25 July, and the SEAS Festival 25 September to 4 October 2009.

SO 2009 Festival - list of artists
- Jonathan Ansell - a charismatic young singer and Britain's most popular and successful young tenor who recently won G4 the X Factor pop opera group. [info]
- Mitch Benn - a winner of Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Competition and a BBC Radio regular. [info]
- Mary Carewe - a singer whose versatility ranges from musical theatre and cabaret songs to the avant-garde. She regularly appears as a soloist with major international orchestras. [info]
- sinfonia ViVA - the East Midlands based orchestra which has gained national recognition for its classical concerts and outreach activities that make live orchestral music accessible to all. [info]
- Jonathan Kerrigan - the Lincolnshire born actor, who has appeared in Casualty, in Heartbeat and Merseybeat as well as an early role in Byker Grove. He is also a talented musician and composed the Merseybeat theme tune. [info]
- Eddie Shaw- Radio Lincs FM presenter. [info]
- The World Famous with musicians Terrafolk - a spectacular fire show on the beach, with music, fireworks and special effect. [info]
