Zagreb-based performance collective BADco embarks on an ecstatic journey through time.

What happens to all future times whose time has run out? What happens to futures that never took place? A combination of Kafka, futurism, Soviet sci-fi and Eastern European ufology is brought together with BADco's own brand of stylish humour and wry intelligence.

A group of nomads come from afar, find themselves suddenly in a "civilized" place. They have to wait to be recognized. While waiting, they paint their dreams and tell their stories.

After capitalism and communism

In its new production the Zagreb-based performance collective BADco. commences another complex operation, this time an operation in time. At the beginning of the new century - at a moment when two grand social narratives of the last century (capitalism and communism) have become inoperative - at a moment of capitalism's turmoil and communism's afterlife - we ask ourselves: What happens to all future times whose time has run out? What happens to futures that never took place? What to the utopias that have become everyday? What is the time remaining?

A theatrical journey back in time

Departing from a wide circle of artistic sources (Kafka's "America", Mayakovsky's "Flying Proletarians", Soviet Factory of Eccentric Actor, constructivist paper architecture, superhero comics, East European ufology, American psychedelic art), BADco. embarks on a theatrical journey back in time, taking the audience by means of time through a series of utopian tales, futurist visions, multiplications, simultaneities, non-linear structures and impossible spaces, using its own brand of stylish humour and wry intelligence.

League of Time will be performed in a large space, for instance an post industrial warehouse, workshop or factory.
